FIG. 03 — KNOX COMPANY

The client

Knox Company manufactures security equipment for building owners — industrial products, a specialized buyer, and a market nobody would describe as an impulse purchase.

The challenge

Knox wanted to take advantage of new ad-targeting capabilities, but their audience segment was small. With a narrow audience, there is no volume to hide behind: every click is expensive, and an unoptimized landing page burns budget invisibly.

The approach

We launched campaigns on Facebook and LinkedIn, then put the weight of the work where it belonged — not on media spend, but on the two things a small audience makes precious:

  • Landing-page personalization — matching the page tightly to the specific buyer each campaign reached.
  • Offer construction — crafting and refining what was actually being proposed to that buyer, round after round.

Sales began tracking within days of launch, which gave us live data to test against from the first week.

What moved

With continued testing, Facebook-driven sales rose steeply — an 814% lift in sales through the new channel over the engagement. More important than the spike: the channel held. Paid social became a durable revenue line the company hadn’t had before.

What this case shows

When the audience is small, optimization isn’t optional — it’s the whole strategy. Personalization and offer craft did what a bigger media budget couldn’t have.
